Ingredients

  • 1 box refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling, chopped
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll one pie crust on a floured surface. Spread a thin layer of caramel sauce on top.
  3. Spoon the chopped apple pie filling evenly over the caramel layer.
  4. Unroll the second crust and cut into thin strips. Create a lattice top over the filling.
  5. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out cookies from the lattice-topped crust.
  6. Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
  7. Mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the cookies.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
