Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sauté until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in wine or broth and simmer until reduced by half.
Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
Add cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
