Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices white bread, cut into cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cubed bread and cooked sausage to the bowl and mix gently to combine.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
