In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
Add the cubed bread and cooked sausage to the bowl and mix gently to combine.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden.
Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
