Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top of each pork chop.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
