Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken and sear until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and stir in onion powder and Italian seasoning.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream cheese until smooth.
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve hot with your favorite side dish.
