Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter on medium speed until it's pale, light, and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add the powdered sugar gradually, 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Beat the mixture on medium-high for an additional 3-5 minutes until it’s smooth and fluffy.
  5. Use immediately or refrigerate and re-whip before using.
