Bake the chocolate cake according to the package instructions in two 8-inch round cake pans.
Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.
Spread a layer of chocolate frosting on top of one cake, then place the second cake on top.
Cover the entire cake with a generous layer of chocolate frosting.
Break the Kit Kat bars into individual sticks and carefully press them vertically around the cake.
Fill the top of the cake with M&M’s or your favorite candy.
Tie a ribbon around the cake for extra decoration (optional).
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to set.
