Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs baby potatoes, washed and halved if large
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add potatoes and sauté for 5-6 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, sugar, honey, and water. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Remove the lid and increase heat to medium-high. Cook until sauce thickens and glazes the potatoes.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and garnish with green onions before serving.
