Ingredients

  • 1 (3-4 lb) chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 6-8 pepperoncini peppers
  • Sub rolls or sandwich buns, for serving
  • Optional: provolone cheese slices

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in a slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix over the meat.
  3. Top with butter and pepperoncini peppers.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or until fork tender.
  5. Shred the meat with two forks directly in the slow cooker and mix well with juices.
  6. Serve warm on sub rolls with cheese, if desired.
