Ingredients

  • 4 lbs beef brisket, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce, plus more for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the entire brisket.
  3. Place the brisket in a slow cooker. Pour Worcestershire sauce and beef broth around the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the brisket is tender.
  5. Remove the brisket and place it on a cutting board. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Return sliced brisket to the slow cooker and stir in BBQ sauce.
  7. Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
